Classical Education

Time-Tested. Truth-Centered. Wonder-Filled.

At Chrysostom Classical Academy, we embrace a classical Christian approach, cultivating wisdom, virtue, and a deep love for learning that lasts a lifetime.

What is Classical Education?

Classical education is rooted in the time-honored tradition of training students not just in what to think, but how to think. Through rich literature, history, language, and the study of great ideas, we guide children to discover truth, goodness, and beauty, all in light of God’s Word.

The Classical Model

The Trivium: A Foundation for Lifelong Learning

Our curriculum follows the Trivium, a three-part path that mirrors how children naturally grow:

Grammar Stage (Grades K–6)

  • Laying a strong foundation through memorization, songs, recitation, and storytelling. Children absorb facts and language with joyful curiosity.

Logic Stage (Grades 7-8)

  • Developing reasoning and discernment. Students ask why and learn to connect ideas through discussion, debate, and critical thinking.

Rhetoric Stage (Grades 9+)

  • We prepare our students to enter the Rhetoric Stage and can call upon the foundational skills of Grammar and Logic to communicate truth with clarity and grace throughout their lives.

God at the Center

God is at the center of every lesson, with Christ—our Logos—as the perfect life we strive to emulate. In all subjects, students are led to see His truth, goodness, and beauty, and to live in light of His example.

Why It Matters

In a noisy world, classical education calls children to focus, wonder, and grow in virtue. Our families choose Chrysostom Classical Academy because they want more than academics; they want hearts shaped by timeless truth and minds trained for thoughtful living.

How It Looks Here

Walk through our unique campus and you’ll see students reciting poems, studying Latin, reading rich stories, singing hymns, and asking big questions in small groups guided by caring teachers. It’s a joyful, ordered atmosphere that nurtures faith and love of learning.
